Campaign groups set up after locals angered by closure of 'cherished' footpath in Market Drayton nature reserve

However, the local authority has revealed that a request was received during October from a solicitor acting on behalf of the current landowners requesting that the agreement was ended, and the footpath was closed.spokesperson said:"As with all permissive footpaths, if or when the landowner decides to withdraw permission for the route to be used by the general public, then that route ceases to exist.
