Muslim men in Johor must temporarily stop all business activities during Friday prayers. The directive, announced by the Johor Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Fared Khalid, ensures that all Muslim men fulfill their religious obligations. Exemptions are given to non-Muslims and Muslim women. The Johor Islamic Religious Department (JAINJ) will enforce this rule.
