Ireland issued a record 38,189 employment permits in 2024, a 24% increase from the previous year. The surge in demand is driven by strong economic activity and full employment, with industries like healthcare, technology, and agriculture facing recruitment challenges. Indian nationals received the most permits, followed by Brazilians, Filipinos, Chinese, and Pakistanis.
