The size of your organization also matters when it comes to day-to-day job responsibilities. CISOs for larger security vendors may have a compliance staff who would handle that side of things. If that’s the case, you should get to know that group as well, because they will bring a different angle of understanding to the various things you’re meant to be protecting.
