With the Jet name being downplayed—if not extinguished sometime soon—and its operations folded back into the parent company, it has become painfully clear that the boys from Bentonville have wasted an awful lot of time going down the wrong cyberpath. But you could make an equally strong case that Lore—and by default his boss, CEO Doug McMillon—took the company down a rabbit hole it had no business being in. When you’re a $500 billion company you can’t be messing around with tiny little businesses that are rounding errors at best.

When it is available, the Ship to Store feature is a real advantage over Amazon for smaller dollar transactions. Also if I'm there to pick up I'm likely to make other in store purchases
