The Dow Jones Industrial Average was trading at session lows on Wednesday morning as investor anxieties about a recession in the U.S. and elsewhere hurt buying. The Dow DJIA, -2.26% was off 730 points, or 2.8%, at 25,549, the S&P 500 index SPX, -2.29% was down 2.8% at 2,844, while the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, -2.60% was down 3.1% at 7,768.
