Lyft spokesperson Adrian Durbin said the bill has the potential to hurt drivers who prefer a flexible work schedule. A DoorDash spokesperson said the company was disappointed by the decision, but said it was “committed” to establishing a guaranteed minimum wage, benefits and other protections for its gig workers.
Many drivers are from outside of the U.S. & doing background checks is a joke. EVERYONE needs to realize that some of these guys are not doing anything they would not do in their countries of birth, legally. You can change an address, but you don't change the lack of ethics.
