Each selected candidate will be partnered with one of AdwoaAboah_'s hand-picked mentors including photographer and filmmaker Campbell Addy and British Vogue’s executive fashion news editor, Olivia Singer.

, it has been announced that, alongside the British Fashion Council, Adwoa will continue her role as BFC Ambassador for Positive Fashion by launching a new mentorship scheme that aims to introduce five young people to careers in the fashion industry that exist beyond design alone.“There are so many components to me doing my job, whether that is modelling or the work I do outside of it,” Adwoa told. “There are so many hands, minds and brains needed to get a show on the road.

The mentorship scheme will offer young talent the chance to explore avenues within the industry that receive less airtime, and how to navigate the paths that can help them to get there. “I’ve been lucky enough to see that first-hand just from being my mother’s daughter,” Adwoa said. Her mother Camilla Lowther's CLM agency has the likes ofeditors Kate Phelan, Julia Sarr Jamois and Venetia Scott – plus photographers including Tim Walker and Juergen Teller – on its books.

“Even though she plays such a backseat role in the big scheme of things, she and her team do so much work,” Adwoa said. “I thought it was important that people see those other routes that are quite hard to see if you haven’t been brought up in the fashion industry, or you have a background in it or are at fashion school.
