In fact, you can turn this strange time into a chance for your child to become a wiser, mentally stronger individual who is equipped for the challenges of the real world.You might be tempted to give your kids time off this summer and just "let them be kids." But assigning chores might be the kindest thing you could do for them.found that kids who had chores fared better later on in life.

Whether your child wants to learn how to bake 10 different recipes or save enough money to buy a new bike, help them work hard to reach these goals.If your child comes to you and says something like, "No one likes me," or "I'll never be good at soccer," you're probably quick to offer some reassuring words.

Your child might find it helpful to take "bubble breaths" where they pretend they're blowing bubbles through a wand. Slow, deep breathing can help them calm their mind and body.
