I'm a Google recruiter who's interviewed thousands of candidates at top tech companies. I wish more job seekers knew these 4 things about the interview and hiring process

Susie Song is a technical sourcer at Google and has previously worked as a sourcer and recruiter at LinkedIn and Samsung.

Most companies have a pretty robust referral program in which they reward employees with bonuses and perks. This is because companies value and trust their employees to connect them with great candidates. It's also a more economical alternative to outsourcing to a recruiting agency.First, referrals are usually guaranteed a faster review of their applications, with updates along the process as well.

First, try reaching out to someone who might be on the team you're interested in applying to on LinkedIn. See if they'd be willing to spare you 15 minutes to ask questions about the role and the team, and you can use that time to share more about you and politely ask for a referral. A very common mistake a job seeker makes is applying for a role they're either overqualified or underqualified for based on the title of the role. To be successful in your job search, it is important to be realistic about whether you'd qualify for the job.

Pick out the most important keywords within the job description and make sure to include them in your résumé Here's an example of an A-plus STAR answer. If the interviewer asks, "Tell me about a time you had to meet a tight deadline," I could use the STAR method and respond like this:My company decided to launch an urgent project, which required 10 software engineers to be hired immediately. As a recruiter on a team of two, I was tasked with the searching and hiring of at least half of that number.

Launched in 2007, the site is now the largest business news site on the web. All these platforms were created by the C I A to gather information, which we hand over without a second thought. Of course they're going to be ruthless. 💰💰💰 In what business is the competition not ruthless. The difference is that they have the money and minds to make it happen. It's not an excuse for them, just saying if you got the CEOs of big pharma up there the stuff that would come out would cause riots.
