But gangs are out of control in this city. This is one-sided. Disappointed that our very own mfassnacht56 and chicagosamir were not part of the conversation. You need to look at the work they are doing. Also, you do not mention the business leaders who are concerned.

Murder rate rose 30% nationally in 2020. Chicago did not and still does not have the highest rate. St. Louis, Missouri, in a BEET RED STATE, does. Why are we singling out Chicago?

Maybe they shouldn't have closed all those schools and emergency rooms

Right, since twenty years ago the violence was twice as bad and nothing happened to the economy… this idea is just fear mongering. The economy won’t cease, what a bunch of chicken littles. Fix the problem, stop whining.

Stall recovery? I would be willing to bet it may decline and not recover at all. Also, how could violent crime rise in Chicago, isn't that their shtick?

CPD has more funding than the militaries of most countries. When will city leadership realize we you can't police your way out of this problem?
