It’s time to end ‘business as usual’ with Nigeria - Punch NewspapersNigeria’s worsened internal struggles now provoke debate among specialists about whether to describe the country as a “failed state.” Apart from such debates over labels, what is clear is that Nigeria’s instability is rooted in a vital shortcoming: After 61 years of independence, the country still struggles to cultivate a national identity rooted in people’s basic freedoms and dignity.
