He is handing down his ruling in an application by Princesses Ntandoyenkosi Zulu and Ntombizosuthu Zulu-Dumato to declare the will invalid and to interdict the appointment of Queen Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu as Regent.Madondo has also granted an interdict in the Pietermaritzburg High Court halting the execution of Zwelithini’s will that was drawn up in 2016.An application for such a trial must be made within 15 days challenging the validity of the will.
This application was brought by the late King’s two daughters, princesses Ntandoyenkosi Zulu and Ntombizosuthu Zulu-Duma, saying that his signature was forged. Madondo says, “The inception of the last will and testament of the late his Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini, B is hereby suspended pending the final determination of the action rendered to in paragraph 3 of this order. Two, the seventh respondent B is hereby interdicted and restrained from performing any functions or duties assigned to him in terms of the provision of the last will and testament of the late His Majesty Goodwill Zwelithini Zulu.
