I haven't paid a dime for any CPAP supplies since I got my machine three years ago. And why wouldn't I use it? Sleep much better with it than without.

It isn't just spying through CPAP machines. At my doctor's instruction, I stopped taking a medication & had numerous calls from pharmacists & physicians who work for the insurance company as to why I stopped it.

Health insurance in the US is all profit driven. That's what happens when they have stockholders. Patients suffer.
