All I know is there are 3000 people in Oshawa that would gladly take the current going union pay/benefit rate of a Canada post employee right now. Get back to work!
Most workers in private companies don’t get neigotiation and pay increase every year. Unless all occupations have union representation, the union represented occupation is unfair to others. Please get back to work.
OK Canada post offered about 80% of what they asked for .. from what I read ... CP says major backlog CUPW says no backlog .. no deliveries on some days but CUPW's are over burdened and not working OT during strike ... so math and logic says there is a backlog ... lazy both sides
Canada Post had over a year to come to the table...all timing on their part.
My question is, if they have been negotiating since the beginning of the year, why was there no progress in the talks?
How did the Senate 'work' around their constitutionally right to strike? Not an essential service. CUPW actually won the right to strike after Harper legislated them back.
Finally the $ dollar stores will be getting rid of all their Chrismas goodies.
