So... Instead of paying people to donate... they went and made a deal with a private company to pay them for blood i guess they'll be changing their slogan: It's in you to exploit!

I used to regularly go to the donation center on College Street to donate plasma, until they stopped offering blood donation on Saturday. Maybe Canadian Blood Service should consider keeping the centers opened during the weekend to boost donation rate?

After more than 50 donations I paused mine when they didn't require Employees, Volunteers and Donors alike be fully vaccinated. For that, they blocked me on Twitter. Now that they've dropped the mask requirement, I won't be donating ever again. I'm far from the only one.

I think it’s absolutely repulsive that folks here in Sault Ste. Marie have to rely on SUDBURY for blood. If I lay dying on a hospital table and have to rely on blood that’s 4 hours away, there should be atonement for that… there’s plenty of volunteers to give in the Soo!!
