The green hydrogen is then used in energy-intensive industries like iron smelting, long-distance trucking and even in jet airplanes.is rising significantly, which is likely to lead to job creation.
President Ramaphosa says South Africa’s Green Hydrogen Energy project will create jobs, attract investment and bring development to rural provinces as well as support a just transition to cleaner energy. The country has identified Green Hydrogen as one of the four big frontiers of the Just Energy transition. This is as the country sets itself on a path to becoming a global producer and exporter of green energy.
President Cyril Ramaphosa says, “We want this Just Transition to leave no one behind. It needs to address the needs of workers, and the needs of communities that are affected but more importantly to lead to economic development. We must see industries spurning in areas where these projects will be implemented.”

The word 'Likely' is certainly no indication of real committment of the South African government to make a concerted effort towards moving to a sustainable energy future. Focus on fixing Eskom and PV and wind energy first. Electric vehicles should be a lower priority.

Oh what kak!!!!! There's no power to charge the vehicles. Can you imagine the integrity of the grid with a few million electric cars plugged into it. Further than that Government will inflate the price of the said vehicles with taxes created just because.

They burning coal and using diesel for their backup generators to produce electricity at Eskom and probably are the largest contributors of carbon emissions...Sort out the root of the problem first...
