Silicon Valley's major airport will be going by a new name and will get an updated logo early next year.

The airport is still working on parts of its rebranding and plans to release more details next month, Wintner said. But the effort, which has been in the works for about two years, focused on two big themes, he said.The name change came out of a series of studies the airport conducted about its branding and name, airport director John Aitken said in ato the San Jose City Council last week.

In the research the airport conducted,"it was clear that ... our name posed a challenge," Wintner said. By shortening and reordering its name, he continued, the airport"could hopefully ... tackle some of the challenges that the old name presented."

Ah yes, but it won’t get a decent transit connection.
