Horne has led the Parkland Foundation since August 2019. He spent about 10 years as an educator prior to joining Parkland and most recently served as the regional superintendent of the KIPP Texas Public Schools. about the importance of partnerships and what he anticipates for the upcoming year. Part of showing up in the community is not just offering services. We have to show up in the community, which means we have to listen and recognize that many of the solutions we're looking for already exist. They have been out there.

There were a lot of lessons learned from 2019. One is that we have to continue to really penetrate, in a very thoughtful way, the community to really understand what's at stake and what the challenges are. The first is really providing greater access to physical locations, so we're working right now on a partnership with Dallas College to bring a health center that will be co-located on their Richland campus as an exciting opportunity to both meet patient needs but also expand the offering of service to a wider audience.

Third, we have to continue to plant the seeds for a rapid expansion of digital health. There are a couple of ways to do that. One is what we call creating a digital front door, and so as a patient, we want to make sure that patients can navigate the breadth of services that Parkland provides.
