By Phoenix Business Journal staffValley attorney Andy Kvesic has been appointed to an Arizona committee that recommends approval of Alternative Business Structure licenses to the Arizona Supreme Court.
after the Supreme Court unanimously voted to remove a rule from its ethics code in late 2020 that had barred fee-splitting with nonlawyers. Law firm ownership has historically been restricted to attorneys only. “Two years ago my business partners and I embarked on a mission to revolutionize the law firm model, improve the lives of attorneys, and increase access to justice for our clients by forming an ABS through Radix Law. I am grateful to be part of this committee and help other lawyers and innovators achieve the same dream,” Kvesic said in a statement.
While the ABS program has attracted interest from larger corporations, most licensees are local firms looking to stand out from competitors by expanding and enhancing their current offerings.Jason Pritchett, president and partner at Radix Law, sees this appointment as a testament to what the firm has accomplished since becoming an ABS law firm.
