Families of missing persons are now turning to Gauteng mortuaries to assist in their search.

Officials indicated that there were more than 900 unclaimed bodies in various Gauteng mortuaries. Pretoria reported that they had over 260 bodies followed by Johannesburg with 187, Germiston has more than 120 and the least was Bronkhorstspruit with 8 bodies.Families, who don’t know the whereabouts of their loved ones, have been encouraged to visit Forensic Pathology Service mortuaries and possibly identify their missing family members.
