NL Housing Corp. CEO Julia Mullaley, Dr. Travor Brown, interim dean of MUN's Business Administration Faculty, and Wade Dawe, president of Brigus Capital.
Memorial University singled out a couple of former and future grads during its Partners event at the Signal Hill campus Thursday. It’s MUN’s way of celebrating the contributions of the business community toward the growth and success of the university. Former Auditor General and current NL Housing CEO Julia Mullaley was presented with the Alumni Honour Award, while Brigus Capital president Wade Dawe was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year.“It’s more meaningful for me because it recognizes the value of public service among all the other contributions of alumni,” she said.“From time to time there will be controversy, no doubt, and it’ll get sorted out and MUN will go on and continue to play a very prominent role in the province,” he said.
Belle Steinhauer received the Vic Young Graduate Student Citizenship Award, while the Robert Crosbie Undergraduate Student Citizenship Award went to Muhammed Basir, a student in the bachelor of business administration program.
