East Dundee Depot Market's 25th annual Largest Tomato Contest begins at noon Saturday, with prizes awarded for first-, second- and third-place based on weight. These are some of the tomatoes entered in 2022.The 25th annual Largest Tomato Contest will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 19, outside The Depot in downtown East Dundee.

An annual senior fair sponsored by state Rep. Anna Moeller, D-Elgin, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Dundee Township Park District Adult Activity Center, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville. Elgin Township’s “What Makes Elgin Township Tick?” event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at 729 S. McLean Blvd. in Elgin.
