Shares of hotels firm InterContinental Hotels Group PLC IHG, +1.13% and non-ferrous metals company Antofagasta PLC ANTO, +1.05% climbed 1.13% and 1.05%, respectively.
The pound was up 0.02% against dollar GBPUSD, +0.01% at $1.2737 and was down 0.12% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.15% at €1.1698.
