Shares of aerospace products/parts firm Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC RR, +2.54% and general mining company Glencore PLC GLEN, +1.53% rallied 2.54% and 1.53%, respectively.

The pound was down 0.45% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.44% at $1.2664 and was up 0.34% against the euro GBPEUR, +0.33% at €1.1686.
