PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. secured on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, $22 million worth of investments from leading companies in Indonesia.

PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara said it will cooperate with its local partner, Univet Nutrition and Animal Healthcare Company Philippines, on veterinary vaccines and will pursue an infusion of US$2 million in investments within the year.PT WIR Asia Tbk., an Indonesian publicly listed company that develops augmented reality technology integrated with virtual reality and artificial intelligence , also committed to invest US$20 million in the Philippines.

Marcos noted the importance of a stronger partnership between Indonesia and the Philippines, both in the public and private sectors, to explore more business opportunities in various areas as Southeast Asia recovers from the pandemic. Marcos also vowed to support Indonesian businesses and investors along with all the foreign investors to the Philippines “in the ways that we can help one another and that would be mutually beneficial to you – the groups that you represent and your country.”
