Shadow Housing and Social Services Minister Michael Sukkar says the Victorian Premier and Prime Minister's recent praise for social housing initiatives is merely 'business as usual'. He remarked that wait lists for housing in Victoria are 'longer than they've ever been'. 'This government, both at a federal level and state level, are not going to get any pat on the back from me,' Mr Sukkar told Sky News Australia. 'On every single measure, housing is getting harder and going backwards. 'First homebuyers are down, new home builds are down, new home approvals are down. 'Rents are skyrocketing.'
