SaltWire's Atlantic regional weather forecast for October 19, 2023 | SaltWireCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A Charlottetown business owner says he felt disrespected after a police offer would not stop laughing as he communicated with his wife in Vietnamese.

“We felt very disappointed in them. It's not very nice and I feel they don’t respect us,” Nguyen said. Charlottetown police Deputy Chief Jennifer McCarron said the matter is under investigation. - SaltWire file Nguyen has since sent security footage to the police, who assured him they would follow up. After waiting for days, he called back for an update but was told not to call again and that he would be contacted if there was an update. He was able to track the iPad and it was just a few blocks away from his salon, but he said the police have not yet given him an update on that.

"Sometimes there's video of people doing things but it's sometimes grainy, sometimes it's too far, too much distance and it's not clear enough.”
