Ebonyi State Police command has confirmed the arrest of several notable persons and youths over alleged involvement in cult clashes in the State. DAILY POST reports that two cult rival groups clashed recently at Nkwuagu area of the state, resulting in the alleged killing of some youths.

It was gathered that the clash created panic among traders, and paralyzed business activities at the Nkwuagu Market located along Abakaliki/Afikpo Expressway. A reliable source, who spoke to DAILY POST, said 'There is silent cult war in Abakiliki and its environs and about four persons, including a graduate have been killed.

'Traders at the local market, just after cantonment, have equally locked their shops for fear of being attacked by the armed cultists.' DAILY POST reports that the development attracted a heavy deployment of security officers, especially the police and the military. It was equally learnt that many stakeholders, including a traditional ruler, whose name is yet to be identified, were arrested at Nkwuagu area.
