People living in a Worksop cul-de-sac express anger as they receive numerous letters from apparent bogus companies using their addresses. Some residents have received up to five letters in a single day. The problem has been ongoing since September, with the most frequently mentioned company being Jiuyiliuyi Ltd, linked to a 23-year-old Chinese man named Rong Yang. Despite changes in registration, residents continue to receive letters. The alleged fraud was initially uncovered by the BBC.

People living in a Worksop cul-de-sac have described their anger at being "bombarded" with letters relating to apparent bogus companies being set up using their addresses. One resident of Baker Close has reportedly had three separate companies incorporated using her address, whilst some have described receiving as many as five letters in one day relating to the firms.

One person who regularly visits Mrs Morris is 35-year-old Becky Turner, who has avoided having letters through her door so far. She said: "I've rang up two or three times and we eventually got all these forms to fill in, but couldn't have done them and even though we've said that this isn't the right address, she's still getting bombarded with them.

The BBC's initial reporting said that 16 addresses on the street had been used to set up the bogus companies, exactly half of the 32 properties which make up the cul-de-sac. All the properties are managed by the Nottingham Community Housing Association , with the company having written to residents about the issue.

"We've been made aware of this issue by an external source as the same thing has happened to a number of people around the UK. If you've received a letter from Companies House, you need to report this to them and tell them it's not you who has set up the business." Kevin Hollinrake, the Minister for Enterprise, Markets and Small Business, previously told the BBC that the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill was due to become law in mid-2024. He said: "It's terrible for the people involved - those people in Worksop - and I would like to apologise to them.
