Jerry Hernandez was driving the cement pump truck when it hit the school bus. The truck is owned by FJM Concrete, and the CEO of the company is Frank Martinez. "If an individual plaintiff foresees that the defendant might go bankrupt or might not have funds, that creates a special incentive to try to settle, but the idea of settling quick and cheap doesn't seem very meaningful."
