The S&P 500 index was up 42.46 points at 5,289.14, while the Nasdaq composite was up 150.92 points at 16,662.10.The June crude oil contract was down six cents at US$77.96 per barrel and the June natural gas contract was unchanged at US$2.34 per mmBTU.
