The Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc, AEDC, has warned that it will from tomorrow disconnect all customers with outstanding electricity bills.

In a notice of power disconnection made available to Sunday Vanguard by the company yesterday, those that would be affected by the disconnection include the Nigeria Army, Air Force, Defence Headquarters, Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Nigerian Army barracks, Federal Ministries of Industry, Trade, Interior, Water Resources, Finance, Education, Works and Women Affairs.

Others are the Federal Capital Development Authority, Kogi State government, National Stadium, Niger State government, Power House, Goodluck Jonathan Athletics Hall, National Planning Com , SGE House I, Head of Service, FAAN Abuja and all other customers owing the distribution company. The notice read: “This is to inform the general public that AEDC will disconnect all customers with outstanding electricity bills on June 3, 2024.

“Timely payment of electricity bills is crucial for the continued operation and enhancement of AEDC’s infrastructure, ensuring we can deliver efficient and reliable service to our community. We therefore urge all customers with debts to pay all outstanding bills before the deadline to avoid service interruption.”24 hours to Strike: Labour talks tough
