Civic Society group says Tshwane townships are not being catered for under Mayor, Cilliers Brink.

City of Tshwane Mayor, Cilliers Brink speaks at the South African Civil Aviation Authority’ s 25-year Anniversary Airshow at Wonderboom National Airport in Pretoria on April 20, 2024.The Lotus Atteridgeville Saulsville Civic Society says since Tshwane Mayor, Cilliers Brink took over the city, townships are not being catered for.

the African National Congress announced its decision to withdraw its motion of no confidence in Brink. This, as the party continues to engage with parties that have expressed interest in forming a government of local unity with it. Chairperson of the Civic Society, Tshepo Mahlangu says, “As a resident organisation, we are deeply concerned about what is happening in our capital city in a sense that we want to see the stability. As a non political-related group, we want to be very careful when we comment on issues that are raised by politicians. However, the issue in the capital city is that there is no service delivery in townships, and that is solely going to be blamed on the DA-led coalition.
