PM '100 per cent' rules out business tax cuts amid ALP ad blitz

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has "100 per cent" ruled out tax cuts for larger businesses in the next term of Parliament in the face of a new scare campaign from the Labor Party to be run through the final days of the election.

The advertisements feature Mr Morrison when he was treasurer and prosecuting the case for a 25 per cent company tax rate for all businesses, saying he did not "flip and flop" around issues.It also features Mr Palmer, whom One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has accused of trying to get her support for the Coalition's tax cuts ahead of the Senate vote that ultimately ended the policy.

"Does anyone think Mr Morrison doesn't have one of the biggest IOU cheques in history to Clive Palmer if he gets returned? Clive Palmer ain't going into politics to raise taxes for big business, is he?" Mr Morrison rejected completely the suggestion a Coalition government would return to a business tax cut plan.will not be increasing or reducing taxes for businesses of more than $50 million in the nextMr Morrison denied ever having a discussion with Mr Palmer's party about a deal for a possible business tax cut.
