This comes after the city invited residents to share their thoughts on the proposed renaming of Sandton Drive to Leila Khaled Drive.The party argues that Sandton Drive is a neutral name.

ActionSA Gauteng caucus leader Funzi Ngobeni says Khaled didn’t even contribute to the country’s history. “We do appreciate that from time to time we have to change our names of our public landmarks so that we can be able to reinforce our heritage and ensure we honour those that have played a significant part in our history. But this particular one really is misguided,” Reporting by Diteboho Ntimane.The City of Joburg is proposing to rename Sandton Drive to Leila Khaled Drive.
