Concord acquired parts of the music publishing and recorded music catalog of reggaetón star Daddy Yankee in a deal worth an estimated $217 million.

“We can then create value for the artist, for our shareholders, for our debt holders, for our pension holders—all the people who are somehow invested in that effort,” Valentine said, speaking at the Mondo.NYC conference in Brooklyn. “The two things we talk about is how are we going to protect your legacy and how are we going to make it live.”
