Deputy President Paul Mashatile in paying tribute to the late Minister of Labour Membathisi Mdladlana says he played an instrumental role in the establishment of South African Democratic Teachers’ Union .Mashatile says Mdladlana fought against Bantu Education.

“He played a key role in the establishment of the South African Democratic Teachers’ Union in 1990 and spearheaded the negotiations that resulted in the union’s official recognition,” adds Mashatile.
