Speaking at a press conference following the opening of the 33rd Malaysia Film Festival (FFM) at Studio Sound Stage, FINAS, Fahmi addressed the recent controversy surrounding allegations of bullying within the acting community.

He urged industry players to adopt a conciliatory approach and avoid further conflict, recognizing the close-knit nature of the film industry. Fahmi stressed that the industry is not large, and those involved often work together repeatedly. He called for collaborative efforts and fairness among all members. This comes after a new actor accused senior actors of bullying newcomers on set, sparking debate among industry professionals. However, many senior actors and directors dismiss it as part of the process of shaping talented newcomers
