ANCHORAGE, Alaska - On Small Business Saturday, locally owned shops and restaurants in Anchorage were packed.
Mayor Suzanne LaFrance spent the day touring shops in downtown Anchorage. She says Small Business Saturday isn’t just about shopping; It’s about neighbors coming together to support one another. “One of the things I love about living here is just that spirit of helping each other.” She said, “Small Business Saturday really embodies that spirit of community.”
According to city officials, this is one of the busiest Small Business Saturdays the community has seen.Employee MacKenzie Barnhart said Small Business Saturday is an opportunity for local businesses to build relationships with their customers. “We’re able to show our support and our appreciation for them.
