NEW DELHI: Malaysia is now truly recognised as a top destination for Indian tourists travelling abroad, says Malaysian High Commissioner to India Datuk Muzafar Shah Mustafa.
Malaysia has seen a significant increase in tourist arrivals from India this year following the introduction of free visa entry in December 2023. Travel demand between India and Malaysia continues to rise, supported by strong air services, according to Tourism Malaysia Director in New Delhi, Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali.Malaysia Airlines, Batik Air, IndiGo, AirAsia, and Air India operate 248 weekly flights between India and Malaysia, offering about 47,000 seats.
He added that the government had extended a similar visa exemption to Chinese nationals until the same date.
