JOHANNESBURG - The MMC of finance in Joburg, Margaret Arnolds, is calling for accountability from the health practitioners of the Westbury Clinic where a mother and child died on Sunday.

Arnolds is representing the MEC of health to get answers in relation to the circumstances surrounding the death of Mirriam Singh. A heated confrontation is taking place inside the Westbury Clinic between the MMC and the staff members of the clinic, including representatives of the province. This is in full view of the family members of Singh, who are anxiously waiting for the details of the incident that led to the two deaths.Arnolds said that she would not rest until she got the correct person to account.

"I am still not satisfied, I need the person that was on duty, that dealt with the report. It's almost like we are on a crime scene, they go out and they look for the perpetrator, so we are looking for the person who was on the scene that can tell us what exactly happened. Not one of you know what happened."
