Monique Mayers, founder of the Lotus Group, has made a reputation within the music and entertainment industries as exhibiting exceptional client service as a core value along with treating everyone like a partner.

She understands that a company’s professional voice is how it communicates and showcases its brand and personality. The Lotus Group helps its clients find their true voice to articulate their narrative. For over a decade, Mayers worked for G-Unit Enterprises. She climbed the corporate ladder to head of operations where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the multiple brand verticals of 50 Cent including music, film, television, fashion, book publishing and sports.

Mayers transitioned over to G-Unit handling all of the tour logistics. “The transition wasn't hard for me” she comments. “The only thing that I think is difficult where the industry is concerned is that it’s such a small community. Maintaining a more personal lifestyle and keeping to myself, is what I can attribute my longevity to.”

“The biggest thing for me,” Mayers states, “is trying to quiet out the noise…Quieting out the noise is the most important to me because people will have their opinions on how you should do things, opinions on people's personalities or don't talk to this person, etc. It can become challenging to focus if you're consuming everybody's opinion. So, I try really hard to focus on the task and not focus on everyone else.

Take strategic risks. Timing is everything. Don’t rush something that can wait an extra month or two. Being premature in your decision is worse than waiting for something.
