According to the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, there has been a drop in the number of candidates writing ITC exams in 2022. The number dropped from 3 887 in 2021 to 2 946 by 2022.In these changing times, the talent shortage in the auditing sector – which is being experienced in all corners of the world - needs to be addressed for the sake of the industry and the broader economy.
