Back in 2008, Probendi, based in Athlone, took out a Europe-wide trademark on the name ‘iWatch’ as they are planning to release their own smart watch.that they are now looking to Chinese manufacturers in order to get their own smart watch ticking.The Athlone-based company originally developed software as a means for devices to communicate with each other. Now, they plan to release a smart watch under the name iWatch that will run on the Android operating system.
