Public hearing set for electric vehicle company rezoning request

A southern B.C. company’s plan to move to Terrace and continue research and development of electric vehicle technology for trucks is headed to a public hearing.

City staffers, in reviewing the Edison rezoning request, decided that one aspect of the company’s business plan, electric vehicle conversion kits for light-duty vehicles, falls within the light manufacturing rezoning request. “It is therefore their intention to eventually move this component of their operations to an appropriately zoned location.”
