A police officer lost both his forearms Tuesday during the anti-Finance Bill when a teargas canister exploded on his hands. The government has dropped the proposed 16 percent levy on bread following the Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group meeting chaired by President William Ruto in State House Nairobi.
Security has been enhanced around Parliament as Nairobi Police boss Adamson Bungei outlawed the planned demonstrations against the Finance Bill 2024.
