More than 90 suspected diarrhoea cases have been reported in the Barberton area in Mpumalanga.

The outbreak has already claimed the life of a nine-month-old baby who died at the Barberton hospital.The Provincial Manager of the Communicable Diseases Control unit in the Department of Health in Mpumalanga, Maria Mahlalela says the department has recorded 359 cases in the Mbombela Municipality.

“Those cases happened on the 2nd to the 12th of August.
