Couple found dead in New Market, Md. home likely targeted; Frederick Co. Sheriff

Over 40 rounds were fired moments before two adults were found dead inside a New Market, Maryland home shared by four children early Sunday morning, Frederick County officials said Tuesday. Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins repeatedly called Sunday's shooting at a home in the 7000 block of Mandalong Court 'a crime of rage and anger,' which resulted in the death of 33-year-old Crimea Baker of New Market, and 34-year-old Sean Lange of Arlington, Virginia.Officials said the shooting likely happened at around 1:30 a.m. and the couple were found in their bed moments later by one of the four children.

Throughout Tuesday's news conference, Sheriff Jenkins urged that there was no threat to the public and that the suspect, though likely targeted the victims in a "crime of rage and passion."
