West Side Market renovation gets $3.6 million boost from Gund Foundation

Cleveland Public Market Corporation is making progress on funding the West Side Market Masterplan. This rendering shows what could happen.which includes facilities improvements and enhancements, new public gathering spaces, and outreach efforts to attract a mix of visitors and vendors that more closely reflects the diversity of Northeast Ohio

“We’re less than six months into our fundraising efforts and we’re looking to hit that first milestone, which would be 2/3 of the funding, in the next couple months,” said Rosemary Mudry, executive director of CPMC. “ is really exciting because it’s helping us get close to that first stage milestone. While the funding news is exciting, Mudry cautions that the public won’t see brick and mortar changes until the end of 2025. The full $68-million-dollar masterplan will improve existing facilities and systems, as well as transform previously unused spaces into additional places where visitors can gather and enjoy their experience.
